Zuperior L Hockey Skate Profiling

Stable at Speed. Built to Drive.

40 US dollars

Service Description

Zuperior L (6′–14′–20′) hockey skate profiling is designed for maximum stability and power, using a longer mid and heel to keep more blade connected to the ice as you build speed and push through your stride. The moderate toe still allows for clean edge entry, but this profile shines once you’re moving, delivering a smooth, planted feel that helps you stay balanced, hold your line, and generate strong, efficient strides. The extended heel provides a powerful base, giving you confidence in straightaways, transitions, and battles where stability matters most. It’s not about quick, twitchy movement; it’s about control, glide, and finishing every stride with authority. Best for bigger, stronger skaters who generate power through their stride, defensemen, and north-south players who value stability and positioning, players who feel too “busy” or forward on smaller Quad or Zuperior profiles. Less agility and tight-turn responsiveness than Zuperior XS or Quad profiles. Prioritizes stability, glide, and straight-line efficiency over quick-cut movement. Dial-in tips (optional): Pitch: ~20 mm (can reduce slightly if you want a more neutral stance) Hollow: 5/8″–3/4″ often pairs well for glide and control Runner length: Ideal for longer runners (280 mm+), but can calm down aggressive skaters on mid sizes Next steps if you want to tweak: Want more agility and quicker edge engagement? Move Zuperior L → Zuperior XS or Small Want a similar stable feel with a bit more turn? Try Quad 1 Want maximum stability with a smoother roll? Test a long single radius (11′–13′) All profiling is performed on the SSM Profile Machine. After profiling, the steel will need to be sharpened to a specified hollow. In most cases, profiling and sharpening can both be done for next-day pickup. Please call or text if you have additional questions.
