Quad XXS Hockey Skate Profiling

Built for Growing Skaters. Balanced for Every Stride.

40 US dollars

Service Description

Quad XXS (5′–7′–9′–11′) hockey skate profiling is designed specifically for younger skaters on shorter runners, helping them feel stable, confident, and in control as they develop their edge work. The shorter toe radius makes it easier to get onto edges and start moving, while the blended mid and heel keep them from feeling too far forward or off balance. The result is a profile that helps young players turn easier, stop cleaner, and recover quicker, without the “tippy” or unpredictable feel that can come from the wrong setup. It’s responsive where they need it, and stable where it matters most, so they can focus on skating, not fighting their edges. Best for youth players learning edges, transitions, and balance, skaters on shorter runners (especially 230–238 mm), and parents looking for a setup that builds confidence and consistency Less top-end glide than longer, more advanced profiles, but far more control and stability for developing skaters. Dial-in tips (optional): Pitch: ~15 mm for a natural, balanced stance Hollow: Typically 1/2″–5/8″ depending on weight and skill level Next steps as they grow: Need more quickness and bite? Move Quad XXS → Quad XS Want more glide and speed as they get stronger? Move Quad XXS → Quad 0 All profiling is performed on the SSM Profile Machine. After profiling, the steel will need to be sharpened to a specified hollow. In most cases, profiling and sharpening can both be done for next-day pickup. Please call or text if you have additional questions.
