First-Time Hockey Skate Profiling
New to profiling? You're in the right place. $15 adjustment special!
Service Description
You don't need to know which hockey skate profile you need before you start. That's part of what I'm here for. Skate profiling changes your blade's shape from front to back, affecting how your skates interact with the ice. The right profile can make your skates feel more responsive, smoother through turns, more stable, or simply more natural underfoot. But there isn't one "best" profile for everyone. We'll start with a conversation. I'll look at things like your runner size, weight, position, skating style, current hollow and setup, along with what you're experiencing on the ice. I also want to know what you feel. Do your skates feel sluggish? Too reactive? Unstable? Like you're fighting the heel? Do you want quicker acceleration? Better glide? Easier crossovers? Or do you actually like your current setup and simply want to improve certain aspects of it? Those details help me choose a starting point. You don't have to get it perfect the first time. Your first profile gives us a well-informed starting point, not an irreversible decision about how you have to skate from now on. Once you've spent some time on the ice, your feedback becomes incredibly valuable. If something doesn't feel quite right, tell me. We can talk about what you're experiencing and determine whether an adjustment makes sense. If you're willing to stay in touch with me for two to three weeks after your first profile, I will make one adjustment to that profile for $15 to help ensure we get the right fit. Sometimes finding that perfect setup is a process, and I'm here to help you through it.
