Washing Instructions
First wash caution: Wash this hoodie separately on its first cycle before wearing it. Pigment dyes leave loose surface particles that will bleed and stain lighter or white garments if mixed too early.
Water temperature: Machine wash cold with similar dark or matching colors. Cold water prevents the surface pigments from fading prematurely.
Inside out: Turn the hoodie inside out before washing. This reduces friction on the 100% cotton face fleece and preserves fabric smoothness.
Detergent: Use a mild, bleach-free detergent. Avoid fabric softeners and harsh bleach, as softeners create a film that coats cotton fibers, traps odors, and reduces breathability over time.
Drying & Storage Instructions
Tumble dry: Tumble dry on low heat or on the delicate cycle. High heat can break down the cotton fibers and warp the jersey-lined hood or matching flat cords.
Air dry: For maximum lifespan, hang-dry or lay flat to air dry. Keep the garment turned inside out if drying near a window, as direct sunlight can cause photodegradation and uneven fading.
Storage tip: Comfort Colors recommends folding this hoodie in a drawer or on a shelf rather than hanging it up long-term. Hanging a heavy 9.5 oz. fleece garment can pull at the shoulders and distort the relaxed fit over time.
