Washing Instructions (Hand Wash Only)
Spot cleaning (Best Approach): If the exterior panels just have dust or light smudges, do not soak the entire hat. Dip a soft-bristled brush or a clean microfiber cloth into a bowl of cold water mixed with a drop of mild dish soap or laundry detergent. Gently scrub the spots in small, circular motions.
Deep soaking (For heavily soiled caps): Fill a clean basin or sink with cold water and add half a tablespoon of mild detergent. Submerge the cap and let it soak for 20 to 30 minutes. Gently swish it through the water, but never scrub or twist the fabric aggressively.
The sweatband focus: The interior sweatband utilizes specialized moisture-wicking technology that absorbs a lot of sweat and oils. Work a dab of diluted detergent into the sweatband with a soft toothbrush, scrub gently to lift yellowing or salt rings, and rinse only that area under a cold tap.
Rinsing: Run cold water over the entire hat until all soapy suds run completely clear. Never wring, crush, or twist the crown or Permacurv® bill, as this will permanently crease the internal structural support.
Drying Instructions
Never use a machine dryer: High heat from a home dryer will snap the spandex fibers, permanently over-stretching the closed back and distorting the curved brim.
Stuff the crown: Gently press a clean, dry towel against the hat to absorb excess moisture. Then, stuff the inside of the hat with a small, rolled-up towel, a plastic hat form, or a small bowl. This keeps the 3.5" structured mid-profile crown from flattening or collapsing as it dries.
Air dry safely: Set the stuffed hat down in a well-ventilated indoor space. Avoid placing it near heaters, and keep it completely out of direct sunlight to prevent the fabric dye from fading or sun-bleaching.
